I’m Taya Mikado, and I am a mixed race Yonsei currently living it up in Toronto.

One of my greatest joys is being a dog mom to a sweet mini labradoodle and spending time sitting with her on our balcony. 

I am currently in law school, with the hopes of practicing family law in the future. 

Sports have always been a big part of my life. During undergrad, I played college volleyball, but I also enjoy a variety of racket sports, basketball and snowboarding.

In addition to my studies and sports, I have spent the last few years writing a book exploring experiences with grief as a young adult. Thankfully, it’s now published and has given me the opportunity to engage in spaces for grief in our communities.

Now, modelling has unexpectedly entered my life, and I’m beyond excited by the opportunity because it’s something my Mom wanted me to try. Thankfully Alkan and Paul have brought this dream into reality and I’m so excited to see what we create.
