Kwe/Aanii!
My name is Ala’suinu (pronounced Ah-la-zu-win-u) which means He travels a lot. I am proud to be from two strong Indigenous nations which are Mi’gmaq and Ojibway.
Born and raised in Listuguj First Nation, Quebec, however I have spent all my summers and holidays on Aundeck Omni Kaning (AOK) First Nation on the beautiful Manitoulin Island.
I am a traditional dancer, singer and love to travel the pow-wow trails with my family since I could walk. You may wonder where the red hair and freckles come from, well I do have some Irish & Polish heritage as well.
The great outdoors have always been a part of my life, it is where I find solitude and feel grounded. Some of my other passions are music, poetry, travelling, adventures, volleyball, more specifically beach volleyball. However, I do play court volleyball since we do live in Canada and don’t have warm beaches all year long. I also love to play hockey and basketball.
Modeling is new for me, although I am very excited to see where this path leads me.
Fun fact: My ears are pierced!
